Dear colleagues,

First of all, a warm welcome to those who have recently enrolled on this training programme. If you need any guidance on how to proceed, please see this postAlso, I'd like to thank everyone for the introductions you've shared in the forum. It's great to understand what brings you to this training, your expectations and your future plans in GIS.

It is great to see that people are progressing through Module 1 materials – keep going!

We are pleased to announce that Module 2 is now available! https://learn.grid3.org/course/view.php?id=143#section-4

This module will introduce you to QGIS Map Atlas. If you've not used the Atlas before it is a very powerful feature of the platform. It enables you to automate the production of multiple maps in a series. For example, if you needed to produce standardised maps for 100 health zones in a region, each presenting health facilities, settlements or other points of interest, Atlas will help you out and save you an enormous amount of time!

This module will be led by Josie. She will be leading the second live Office Hour in this programme; details below.

Office Hour, Session 2: Tues 05 Dec, 12:00 GMT
This is optional but please come along! We'll take a closer look at QGIS Atlas, but it's also an opportunity to ask any questions on any topic in this programme.

Good luck with Module 2, and we hope to see you next week!
